We’ve made some program changes: Program updates for the Fall/Winter 2024
As the Fall-Winter program session kicks off, we have some important program changes and updates to share.
First, Tot Time, our popular program for young children and their parents, has moved to Tuesday mornings to better fit in the busy Rec Center schedule, while still providing fun engaging morning activities for parents and their little ones.
Next, due to low participant turnout in recent years, the ASAP (After School Activity Program) at the Rec Center is closing. While we are disappointed to have to make this move we hope the need will soon resurface to bring it back such an awesome program. In the meantime we are expanding the Falcon’s Club to include students in grades kindergarten through 5th grade. Falcon’s Club offers engaging activities and supervision right after school at Sunset Elementary.
For adult basketball pick up players, Adult Open Gym Basketball has shifted from Friday afternoons to an earlier time slot: Fridays from 6:30 to 8:15 AM, providing an opportunity for our early risers with busy schedules to get in some games before work.
Our biggest change maybe to our long standing Tuesday Senior Lunch program. This staple program will now be on Thursdays instead of Tuesdays, offering seniors a new day but same opportunity to enjoy a meal and socialize with friends.
Finally, our popular Indoor Cycle class is re-branding as Rhythm Ride Cycle. The new name reflects a refreshed, music-driven approach to cycling that promises an energetic and motivating workout experience.
We look forward to seeing you at our updated programs. For more information and to register, please visit our website or contact the Rec Center.
