Game On!
The Recreation Center Gymnasium is where play and purpose come together! This large 6,100 square foot gymnasium is a true multi-purpose space that serves as home to open gym sports, youth activities, fitness classes, and special events.
Features include
- Six basketball hoops, with 4 easy adjustable (8’-10’)
- Two basketball short-courts
- Main court volleyball
- Divider curtain
The gymnasium schedule is subject to frequent changes, please check availability prior to use. Our goal is to have one court available for public open gym as much as possible.
Gymnasium Rules
- The Gymnasium is open for members and individuals who have a full membership or have paid for daily admission
- Park and Recreation Department programs take precedence over all other activities and Gym availability is subject to change
- Individuals utilizing the gym must wear non-marking shoes only. Street shoes are discouraged.
- Hanging on nets, rims, or equipment is prohibited
- No slam dunking
- Kicking or throwing balls at gymnasium walls is not permitted
- Fighting is strictly prohibited
- Profanity, threatening, or intimidating is prohibited
- No tobacco, food, gum, or drinks are allowed
- Children ages 5 and under are required to have direct supervision and be within arm’s reach of a parent/guardian at all times.
- Children ages 6-8 years old are required to have direct supervision by a parent/guardian in the Gymnasium.
- Children 9-11 must have a parent/guardian in the facility.
Individuals may bring their own balls. Basketballs or volleyballs may be checked out from Guest Services with an ID card. Cards will be returned once the equipment is returned. If any equipment is not returned, the value of the item will be charge to the borrower’s account unless the item is brought back.
