Unless otherwise noted, all recreation programs and activities take place at the Airway Heights Recreation Center and require pre-registration. Some programs have limited capacity and/or require minimum 6 participants.
We’re teaming up with our West Plains Parks & Rec partners from Medical Lake & Cheney this Fall & Winter with awesome, fun-packed programs just for our local tweens and teens.

TEEN INTRAMURALS
The Teen Intramural Sports program is designed to allow teens ages 12 to 15 of any skill level to come together to play in an organized and supervised sports challenges and open play setting. Participants will also be offered the opportunity for skill development and practice, with an emphasis on teamwork, sportsmanship, and effort.
GRIT SPORTS PERFORMANCE TRAINING
GRIT (GET READY – IT’S TIME) is a dynamic, skill-building program designed to equip young athletes with the tools and knowledge necessary to effectively grow physically and mentally providing a greater foundation for healthy habits and athletic performance: movement, strength, speed and power.
Jump aboard the Tweens & Teens Program Shuttle Bus and catch a ride to the Rec Center for Friday night Tween & Teen Programs.
Shuttle picks up at City Hall 15 minutes before the start of the program, and returns 15 minutes after program is schedule to end. Riders must be registered to participate in the week’s activity and signed up to ride the shuttle.
Join the Airway Heights Youth Advisory Commission and help plan future programs and activities for teens in Airway Heights. The YAC is a great opportunity to gain valuable community service hours, as well as build up college and job resumes. Turn in a completed application and letter at the Recreation Center or email to mkruml@cawh.org .
