FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

Airway Heights Day annual event brings our summer to a close each year with a fun filled Friday night and all day excitement on Saturday. Airway Heights Days takes over our 10 acre Sunset Park in the heart of the city and turns it into a hub fun and exciting activities for the family to enjoy. Airway Heights Days celebrates a number of annual traditions such as racing (and smashing) custom designed watermelon racers, followed by a follow by a performance by our local youth dance studio, and all day fun with a stellar car show, live music, kids activities, vendors, cornhole, beer garden, and so much more!

Airway Heights Days also serves as a fundraiser for two our our local non-profits: The Airway Heights Kiwanis Club and CARES (Citizens Associated fro Recreation, Education, & Social Equity). Both of these amazing organizations serve to improve our community through their focused missions. The Airway Heights Kiwanis Club, a member of Kiwians International, works to serve the children in our community by creating opportunities for growth, support, and success. CARES works to improve the quality of life to the community by promoting and supporting programs, activities, and opportunities that expose community members to new recreational opportunities as well as educating young people on the importance of making positive life choices.

Airway Heights Day offers local and regional businesses or organizations the opportunity to get in on the action and creatively promote in the community while supporting the largest of our community events. Each year this event brings live entertainment, children’s activities, annual traditions, and variety of vendors to Sunset Park for a day of fun for everyone. This annual event is an excellent opportunity to be recognized as an organization that is making an impact on our community by supporting an event that is important to the Airway Heights Community.

Be a part of this great community event by giving help in a variety of areas or services. We sign off on all hours served for volunteerism. We do not accept court appointed community service hours.

Example of volunteer opportunities:

Event set up
Clean up during and after
Kids Zone attendants
Special Activity coordination and assistance (Cornhole, Car Show, Petting Zoo, etc.)
Special Services – If you have service that could be beneficial to the event such as MCing and making announcements.
