AFTER SCHOOL’S NEW LOOK

The Airway Heights community has had some big changes to after school programming since last school year, with the Parks andRecreation Department moving to the Recreation Center and the official end of Trailblazers After School Program at Sunset. But we have good news! Airway Heights Parks and Recreation will be offering two newprograms to help provide safe and fun activities for kids everyday after school.

Trailblazers will now be replaced with the Falcon’s Club, a program for1st through 3rd graders at Sunset Elementary, focused on providing
a structured environment of games and activities, arts and crafts, and free play.

“Drop !n”, as it was known at the old Community Center, will now be called ASAP (After School Activity Program) at the new Recreation Center, geared to letting 3rd through 8th graders hangout, play games, and enjoy occasional special activities. Participating students from Sunset can jump on the Parks & Rec Shuttle right after school. Middle schoolers will be transported on Cheney School Bus #41 from Sunset Elementary at approx 3:40pm.
